I have had a lot to do with Down Under Stables over the years. I received cheerful and competent dressage instruction from the owner, Jan Macafee, and respected and trusted her enough to co-own a horse with her. The horses she uses in lessons are well trained, high quality and fun to ride. The farm is pretty, close to town, small enough to be friendly and welcoming, and attracts educated, interesting people from U of M as boarders and students. I sincerely recommend Down Under Stables to anyone wanting to ride for pleasure or the show ring.

I have been boarding my horses and taking lessons from Jan for 20 years now! It's a lovely place where the people are pleasant and the horses are well cared for and happy. Jan's lessons are superb ( so are her lesson horses) and I recommend her for any level of rider. She really knows her stuff!
