We wanted to take 6 pints to our son in Boston. We thought to take the container as a carry-on on our Southwest flight. Checked with both SW and TSA about dry-ice, and that is permitted. But Jim at the Reading Rd store said we SW would not allow it, without explaining why. I bought it anyway. But at home I was able to confirm both with SW online and a call that the problem is the styrofoam container that you use to pack. So had to leave the ice cream at home. The suggestion: that the staff at the Reading Rd store, and perhaps others, be informed that the problem is the styrofoam container. And also that this information could be put up on the website as I clearly was not first to attempt this.
