Offering sightseeing rides over beautiful Chautauqua Lake, near Jamestown NY Sky Sail Balloon was founded in 1988, as Chautauqua counties first Hot Air Balloon ride and advertizing company. Other area ride operations have come and gone, yet they carry on. They only fly in the evening meeting about 2 ? hours before sunset. They only fly one flight per evening. Flights are usually over Chautauqua Lake and the surrounding area, but special arraignments can be made to fly from or over alternative points of interest. Sky Sail offers ride certificates that allow a rider to book two dates. A primary date and a back up date in case weather is not suitable on the primary date. Though out of town visitors can book a single date without buying a certificate.
