Gentlemen: We purchased a Maytag Washing Machine in l976 or approximate! Never had a tech service it and it out performed our family living at home...I mean our 4 children grew up ~ got married and moved out ....but our Maytag is still with us!...Until yesterday...we finally ordered a new model to be delivered soon!...A Maytag Centennial 3.6cu. ft. High Efficiency Top Load Washer in White from Sears! If you do not believe us...here is the model # LA806 ~ Series 02 and here is the Serial #: 737717 AG....I THINK YOU SHOULD TELL EVERYONE AT YOUR BOARD MEETING THAT WE ARE STAYING WITH MAYTAG AND EVEN BOUGHT THE MATCHING DRYER!...Noticed that there is NO agitator and a deep stainless drum in our new Maytag...and Energy Efficient!!! My husband and I purchased a new Maytag French Door Refrigerator and were so excited to finally have an ice maker and water dispenser in the door!!! Here it is not quite two years later and three service calls later. We were told today that the ice maker needed to be replaced. It is only my husband and I so it's not like lots of people are using it in excess!! Also we have water puddling on the bottom of the freezer and we have a sheet of ice that has to be removed every few weeks!! It not even two years old!! We called the corporate office and they're only answer is that we didn't purchased the extended warranty. This product sucks and the service even worst. It will be the LAST Maytag product I will ever purchase. At the time we bought four appliances, all Maytag. The next time you see the commercial where the Maytag guy is idle cause he has no service calls, not true, he's at my house.

My 88 y ar old parents have a Maytag washer and dryer that are 43 years old and still use the set 2 to 4 times a week. Dryer belt replaced once that is all. Enough said.
