Attempted to cancel membership after one year as a member; went to front desk to fill out paperwork and at no time was I advised there was a 30 day waiting period. (Apparently the "contract" I signed a year ago said I needed to pay for an additional month, that I wouldn't be using, before I could actually cancel my membership.) When the final 30 day payment came through on my credit card, I called to inquire about the charge. "Jennifer" advised me that's the way it is, "read your contract", and eventually hung up on me, after I asked to speak to the manager. I understand "policy", but good business is keeping a client forever, even after they have gone. I probably would have returned to Fitness 21, having done so already, but not any more. Warning: Read the fine print here, they only want your money. You are a pay check for Fitness 21 not a person. They will milk you for every penny they can get from you by coating it with "unwritten" promises, because they have the "contract" to fall back on. Buyer Beware!!
