To: Owner I have been shopping loyal with the Shop-rite in Brooklawn for well over twenty-five years. The one thing I always look forward to was the free turkey or ham around the Holidays.I'm over 65, retired and live on social security. The economy now with the recession is the worse I have seen all my life. Before you spent $300.00 and you would get a free turkey or ham, now you must spent $400.00. I sure Shop-rite is not hurting because when ever I'm shopping there are a lot of custoners. Thw free ham or turkey is the main reason I shop at the store. I could never spent $400.00 in that time and I feel it is very unfair.You are stopping the older customers from getting them because many of them can not do it either. I beleive you are very wrong doing this to the older shoppers. You have made me think neg. about shopping at shop-rite. I sure you do not care because I'm only one person. This is the wrong time to raise the amount for the ham and turkey because of the recession & economy. Is this really the way shop-rite treats their older customers. I shop at your Shoprite at least once a week somethimes more. You have an employee usually in the frozen food dept. Antiono. He always says hello with a smile, asks if he can help you find anything, and since i am a senior citizen, he will offer to get it for me, no matter what department it is in. Employees such as this make it a pleasure to shop at your store.
