Normally when we renew our lease, Woodward raises the rent $30-$40, which is pretty normal. In 2020 they didn't raise the rent, which was awesome. In 2021, it was back to about $40 increase. This year, 2022? They raised our rent by $210! No improvements have been made, nothing new in this complex or our unit. I don't know if it's because we called L&I last winter when they wouldn't fix the heat that's included in our rent, or just price gouging because they can. The women who work in their corporate office are the most miserable people you will ever have the misfortune to deal with. They never have a good day. It's so stressful when we have to call them. This is a two bedroom one bath unit, no washer/dryer in the unit. The interior doors don't match, the carpet is poor quality and buckling, there's always issues with the plumbing. Yet they feel comfortable raising the rent by $210. Of course we can't afford to move, so we're stuck.

Good morning, My name is Angela Roberson. I am A current applicant. I am a previous tenant at Bridgeport suites. A Woodward property. I did not extend my last lease which was until August 1st because i relocated to Florida. I was always a good tenant. On time with payment and received the full deposit back. I enjoyed my stay in Bridgeport suites and reapplied for another studio upon my return. I have been given the run around by Kristen mccard. She first told me to send in more documents and provided no direct email to do so. Keep in mind I was tenant at the property for a year and four months without even one late rental payment meanwhile there are tenants being evicted each month! I can not get a return phone call from Kristen and this morning sent her the documents again via email and when I called to let her know they were sent, I called the main Woodward number which then went to her cell phone which I’m assuming was forwarded. Her mailbox is full! Can you believe that? She didn’t take the time to clear her mailbox knowing tenants or applicants or Potential residents could not leave a message! This is unprofessional and sloppy! I did enjoy my stay in Bridgeport suites and enjoyed the location. I would like to rent again as I’m quite sure the Woodward’s have no idea what a mess they have for leasing agents. Please reply to this message as I am trying to get this issue resolved ASAP! Thank you!
