Aetna has made the shirt for the Landerwood Corporation for over ten years. Recently Landerwood's owner, Joe Claar, became ill, and asked Aetna to continue making the Landerwood shirt. Aetna acquired from the Landerwood Corporation all assets related to the pilot shirt, including the trade name, website, label, and the customer lists. Aetna has been in business in Baltimore, Maryland, making shirts continuously since 1916.
