The Whitmires create art in wood. Designs include bowls, etchings in wood, decorative coat racks, cutting boards, functional vases and candle holders Whitmire Woodcraft creations are sold in galleries, boutiques, and at arts & crafts shows in Northern Nevada & Northern California. The artists' bowls are on display at Artists at Lake Tahoe in Incline Village, NV, and at the Hess Collection Winery in Napa, CA. Retired from careers in the sciences, education and construction, Whit and Judy Whitmire moved to Incline Village in 2002. They set up a workshop and are realizing their passion for woodturning and making other creations in wood. We have chosen to work by ourselves & have no employees. Bowls have been purchased by a San Francisco art dealer and the California Walnut Commission. The Commission has presented bowls to Oprah Winfrey & Andrew Weil, MD and has used the bowls extensively as marketing gifts.
