I rented this home in the middle of April an was very impressed with it. This is a very nice home in an amazing area, the landscape is extraordinary I would stay here again tomorrow if I could I would highly recommend this house to anyone wanting a nice relaxing getaway.

Just had an enjoyable weekend at Brown Mountain Lodge! A little peace of Heaven tucked in the woods of beautiful Mortimer! Enjoy thhe beautiful scenery on the way and great fishing areas! BML is a perfect and interesting home located in an absolutely beautiful ,remote blue ridge mountail setting. Jeff Shook provides plenty of useful information about what to see and do during your vacation at BML. I had a 5 star vacation there with my wife , kids and grandson. My six year old grandson was in awe of all the adventures around him- the creeks, hiking , the water wheel, the deer he saw leaping across a ravene on the hike to the GrandFather Mountain view and the rope swing at the lodge! What a perfect get away family spot.

We had a wonderful time at BLM! Everything we needed was right there at the house including hiking trails, water falls, and a place for a bone fire. We enjoyed the privacy of the land surrounding BLM. It was only a short drive to Wilson Creeek to watch the kayakers and do some more hiking. We plan to return.

I can't say enough about the BML. We had such a good time sitting on the spacious back deck listening to music and the creek below. So much space to enjoy. We were able to bring our dogs which was such a treat. They felt right at home running around the big field next to the frog pond and walking all the trails around the property. I would recommend this home to any one looking for some peace and quiet in the mountains. Can't wait to go back!!
