The original owners had incredible vision even back in the 50's to build such a unique and beautiful home they called "The Hideaway". They constructed a 12 ft steel water wheel down on the creek that was beautiful. When we bought the home we wanted to restore the property and water wheel to its grandeur and make it even better to share with folks that love the mountains. My wife and I invite you to experience the vacation cabin rental that you will always remember the good times with your family. We re-named the hideaway to the Brown Mountain Lodge. Our goal is to provide one of the best family oriented vacation and cabin rentals in the Boone and Blowing Rock NC area. In 2011 we added my Mom's old home place that also has the outdoor covered living area by the creek. Family fun.
