I typically do not make any comments about such private consultations as going to see a Psychiatrist; however, feel compelled to share my story. Although, I consulted with Dr. Tarin-Godoy over 20 years ago while employed @ Providence Memorial Hospital due to what he diagnosed as Panic Attacks-Anxiety Disorder. I was home bound for a period of three months prior to accepting that perhaps whatever was occurring in my body was something I could not control and may eventually die. Thank the Lord that a Nurse I worked with put it out there that I may be suffering from anxiety and that this was very curable. Hence I started my research and came across Dr. Tarin-Godoy's practice at that point in time was located off Montwood and Yarbrough (only 1 block from my residence)! My husband called the office and pleaded that he squeeze me in that afternoon, this angel of a Doctor, did. That same evening I was prescribed some medication to help with both the precipatory anxiety and actual panic attacks. I drove to the mall half hour after I took the medication and was placed in an anxiety support group via his office to learn techiniques to help overcome the multiple symptoms that occur. More recently, another life changing event triggered the onset of my panic attacks, but I have conquered it without medication, the therapy, books which he recommended I read, and the knowledge he transferred over to me on how to block those panic attacks after all these years I have never forgotten and immediately put into practice and stopped this dead in it's tracks. This is an excellent physician, if you suffer from Panic Attacks, Anxiety, or other disorders, you will receive quality care at the hands of this Doctor who took his vow seriously and exercises due diligence, respect, and embodies all the qualities all physicians should possess.
