My daughter contacted CrossCountry Mortgage regarding a refinance for her home in April 2020. In her initial contact with them she expressed concerns about a walk through appraisal due to the Coronavirus and they were quarantining as much as possible due to her 5 children, including her youngest only a little over 1 year old who had been I the hospital for several weeks due to a severe respiratory problem when only a few months old. Robert Glazewski told her it should not be an issue since their loan would probably be approved for an appraisal waiver. She completed the application and paid the requested fees their loan was conditionally APPROVED. A little over a week later she received contact from Jim Flagg, an appraiser requesting access to the inside of the house for an appraisal. This request is in direct conflict with guidelines issued by PA Dept of State guidelines prohibit the entry into any building occupied or vacant in the Red Phase where her county is located. As per the PA Dept of State Failure to strictly adhere to the requirements of this guidance may result in disciplinary actions up to and including suspension of licensure. Jim Flagg did not respond to her email regarding The PA Dept of State order to NOT TO ENTER HOMES.
