We use only verified Non GMO whole food ingredients. We start with raw sunflower kernels for hearty flavor and Lundberg Farms brown rice for body. Then we add a variety of whole food ingredients to make five USDA certified organic flavors. Everything we make is gluten, soy free and vegan. Sunshine Burgers are baked and browned then frozen; they can be reheated in minutes. History Established in 1983 Carol Debberman started making Sunshine Burgers in her farmhouse kitchen back in the 80's to feed her five kids. The burgers were so popular at home and among friends that Carol started selling them locally. Eventually she rented a bakery in the Catskills and sold her hand made veggie burgers to health food stores, co-ops and a few
