Our family has been involved in some aspect of the Stone Industry in the United States since 1921. We have roots in the European Stone Industry that date back to 1879. Our founder, Benjamin Haskell, immigrated to the United States in the early twenties. In 1921, he started and managed his own retail monument business in New York City that employed stonecutters, stone carvers, engravers, and stone setters who he personally trained.
