We apologize to the kids of Trinidad. We opened skateland for the purpose of the kids only so as something to do. We opened it July 14th and closed it down JUly 31st due to the owner, Ted Simola, B. O. Box 1383,Cheyenne, Wyoming. 4 years ago, skateland was open and was charged $600.00 a month rent. He wanted us to pay $1000.00. A week before we opened he want $500.00 for July 15 to July31st. I asked him to wait till we opened and made some money. I asked him what happened to both of our visions for the kids of Trinidad. He said "screw the kids, I'm interested in the money now. We paid the first months rent of $1000.00, though some of it came out of our personal account. (Aug 1st to Aug 31st)
The second month Ted Simola up the rent to $1500.00 and wanted me to pay $2000.00 for skates 30 years old from Brazil which according to an appraiser who write a magazine nation wide were worth Less than $200.00.
He wanted me to fix the skates that wee being broken but they no longer made parts for them So on August 31st, we had to shut the rink down, not that we wanted to because we could not make the rent and pay employees. Business was picking up, but not that quick to pay $1500.00 a month. If you want to thank Ted Simola, and saying screw the kids of trinidad, he is only interested in the money now, and the skating rink is now closed because of him, write to him at: Ted Simola, P. O. Box 1383, Cheyenne, Wyoming 82003. Once again, am sorry for the kids of Trinidad
