Founder Herb Becker opened the store in 1961, & moved it to the current location in 1974. Herb sold the store to Alan Freis, current owner Jim Shpall's father-in-law, in 1980. In 1994, Freis talked his son-in-law into co-ownership. Since Jim Shpall's entry into the business, Applejack has spread in square footage like an amoeba. “Applejack Big Dog Spirits Manager Attacks Disabled Customer Over $7 Wine Return!”Be sure to get your product and purchase right with Applejack management before you pay. Applelack is geared to pull out the hammer on you.Their 6-10 Big Dog manager for spirits threaten, stole, shouted profanity, and applied physical force toward me while I simply tried to return a $7 product for a refund with receipts. AsaDisabledPerson my car was parked at Applejack’s front doors inHandicapParking with the plaque displayed.Applejack management has handicap parking in front of its doors to lure customers.TheirBigDog sarcastically shouted “Move your car! It’s too bad you’re hurt!”TheBigDogcontinued todisrupt laws.I remained calm as I documented his actions. TheBigDog shouted profanityrepeatedlywithhis employees, "Now I have witnesses! I will call the police!”.Customerswatchedinamazement.TheBigDog used his 6-10ego in full view of customers to finallyshove my belongings in my face with my credit card lost in it. He and another dog pushed me through the exit doors.I left to call 911Wheatridge Policeand whomet me tobegintheir report.The WheatridgePolice report can help support my documentation and review of Applejackbusiness actions.The officers reviewed my documentation and took action against the Big Dog and Applejack to get my receipt property back without further personal contact by me. The officers were my only protection given my condition.This review spreads to Yelp and others.
