I hired Belleau Masonry to apply stucco to my home, and it turned out to be a complete disaster. The stucco product did not adhere properly from the start, and despite promises to fix the issue, the contractor's efforts were ineffective. After three failed attempts to remove and reapply the product, the contractor started to backpedal and deny any fault, even though it was obvious that the product was failing. In an attempt to cover up the problem, the contractor consulted a painter with no experience in stucco, who advised against painting over the failing areas. I then had a professional stucco repair contractor assess the situation, and they determined that the product used was improperly mixed and lacked necessary binding agents. This confirmed that the fault lay with Belleau Masonry's work. Moreover, during an investigation, it was uncovered that Belleau Masonry is delinquent in its state business filing and does not hold a license to operate in Estes Park. Despite clear evidence and documentation, including videos of the contractor promising to remove the defective mortar, they refused to take responsibility for the damages caused. The cost of cleaning up the mess left by Belleau Masonry is running into thousands of dollars, and their negligence and unprofessionalism have caused significant stress and inconvenience. I strongly advise against hiring Belleau Masonry for any masonry work. Save yourself the trouble and find a reputable, licensed contractor instead.
