The Banner-Republican is published Wednesday and Sunday, covering the Morgantown and Butler County, KY community.

Our history dates back to May 7, 1885, the date it is believed the first edition of The Green River Republican was published. The first confirmed issue of the paper is dated Aug. 27, 1885, and is edition no. 17 of the first volume.
