As of Sunday, 6/16/24, several communities in the Dallas County area experienced low water pressure. The pressure was so low it would take 45 mins to fill an 8 oz cup. Later on that evening, the water was completely shut off. Dallas County Water & Sewer Authority did not provide proper notice to the residents of Dallas County. We did not receive an email notification, text message, automated phone message, nor a notice posted on their website. This is completely unacceptable and unprofessional! Thousands of people are affected by this and we were not notified. On Monday, 6/17/24, I was told SEVERAL technicians are in the area trying to locate leaks and repair them. I drove around the service area to confirm, and there was only ONE technician on Hwy 80. Others I spoke with only saw one man as well. If there were more technicians in the area then why haven't the leaks been repaired? Clearly there's a lack of urgency and empathy towards the residents of Dallas County. Thousands are without water and DCW&SA is not providing sufficient staff to restore water to the community. It is Tuesday, 6/18/24 and we are still without water. Some areas are still experiencing the same low pressure issue that occurred on 6/16/24. The only notice provided by DCW&SA is a "Boil Water Advisory" posted on 6/17/24, yet we do not have any water to boil because it has not been restored. This is an urgent matter and should take precedence over any work order within DCW&SA. We need our water restored expeditiously!
