My husband and I are currently stationed in TX. While we were home on leave we had a birthday party for our 5 year old son. Since we had to fly back the day after the party, I asked my father to ship the package of presents for us. My father didn't know the value and told the lady behind the counter that he was unsure. The person at the counter advised him that he wouldn't need insurance because Ups insured it already. The package that was worth over $400, full of un opened little boys toys, and Christmas presents was lost. The store never had the driver put a tracking number on the present so it couldn't be located. The owner of the store was incredibly rude, never apologized, never offered alternatives, or even expressed sympathy. He just stated that we had to wait 8 days for him to look for it. He never asked what was in it , we had to ask him if he wanted to know. Mean while my 5 year old son stared out the window hoping for his presents that he never got to play with. The store owner told us it was the second package they lost that day. Now a month after the package was lost that Ups would pay $100 for the package and shipping fees. I will definitely never ship with Ups again if this is how they treat their customers.
