Re: Case Judgment Rendered In Greene County Circuit Court As a 77 year old citizen of Greene County, along with my wife whose age is 74, we spent the last 4 years of our life and well over $50,000 in retirement funds bringing this contractor to justice in the Greene County Court System. We are not the first citizens this contractor has taken advantage of according to reviews of his work on the BBB and local contractor contact sites, such as Yelp and others. He operated as a corporation, but was not incorporated in Missouri; and both the signed contracts, and his business bank account, were under Affordable Home Improvements, Inc. An illegal act for consumers and the State of Missouri as he was not incorporated when he signed a contract with us. There's too much involved in this case to list here, but the information and the Judgment under the Missouri Merchandising Practices Act can be found on Missouri's Case Net site.

My husband & I used George as a general contractor for the building of our home. This was the first time we had used a general contractor. We found him from the BBB's website. When we met with him we were impressed by his printout of each stage of the project & how it was broke down with the total cost overall. This was the last time we were impressed with George. All of his estimated cost in his printout were estimates & weren't broken down by actual cost. If we saved money on materials the cost of the project never went down. my husband showed up at OUR home & overheard George complaining to one of his contractors about how awful my husband & I were. He was complaining about how we wanted the medicine cabinets in the wall & why didn't we just buy a different kind. My husband informed George that he said his guys could do it how we wanted. George didn't even try to explain himself. If you want a cookie cutter home that looks like it came off the showroom floor of Lowe's then George is your man. If you want anything to be imaginative then find a contractor that will listen. George talked AT us not to us. I could go on & on about how unhappy I am with his service. My advice is to stay away from him. Our project was too much for him to handle. He might be able to remodel a closet on budget.
