The Middleton Place Foundation owns and operates the Gardens, House Museum and Plantation Stableyards at Middleton Place. The Middleton Place Foundation owns and operates the Gardens, House Museum and Plantation Stableyards at Middleton Place and also has a house museum at 21 East Battery in Charleston, the Edmondston-Alston House. A not-for-profit educational trust, the Middleton Place Foundation was established in 1974. Interpreters conduct tours of the Gardens and Stableyards, as well as the two historic houses. Research and education programs make the properties' resources available to schools and special groups. The Foundation seeks tax-deductible donations, gifts and loans relevant to its purpose.
