Sampling and Analysis of Petroleum Coke. Soderberg & Prebaked Anode Fabrication and Chacterization. Pilot scale Rotary & Stationary Calcination of GP A. J. Edmond Company maintains complete physical testing capabilities to characterize the performance properties of baked anode and cathode materials including bottom blocks, sidewalls, bricks and refractories. Anode material can be evaluated for air and carboxy reactivity, permeability, thermal shock, coefficient of thermal expansion, thermal conductivity, electrical resistivity, baked density, and strength properties. We are capable of producing pilot scale carbon bodies for both Soderberg and Prebake technologies using either pressed or vibrated forming methods. The pilot plant includes a rotary kiln coke calciner capable of producing 200 Kg of calcined coke per day. These exceptional facilities allow low-risk assessment of contemplated changes in raw materials or process variables.
