My kids went to this studio for over 6 years. Dan the owner/instructor is great with the kids. My kids learnt so much more than just karate. They have acquired skills that will last a lifetime!!!!

I could not be more happy with Lockhart Karate Academy, my kids have been attending classes since they were both 3 years old. My husband and I are so happy with the results we have seen over the past 6 years in our kids. Master Lockhart is fantastic with the kids always promoting a fun and energetic environment while teaching respect, confidence, discipline, responsibility and team work. I would highly recommend it.

Both my sons who are 14 and 12 now went to Lockhart Karate Academy for 5 years between 2007 and 2011. Prices have increased significantly due to the fact that a lot of kids are leaving. The owner is never there on the weekends, especially Saturdays. Take a look at YELP, Yellow pages, FB, Manta and other sites and you will see most of the reviews are promotional since the owner is asking his clients. When my kids left, the owner still charged my credit card for a few months. He has movie night on Fridays and the kids just there and watch movies without any real supervision. Check the place for yourselves and you will see my point of view of this place, you can also go to Community Roots Academy in Aliso Viejo on Wednesdays at 12:45 and see what a waste of time and money these classes are.
Why would loaded guns be given to students at Karate? There is a video of classes at CRA, please contact me and I will be more than happy to share with you why this is a waste of time and money.
