Fine Jewelry and Great Customer Service Established in 1963. We are the longest running jewelry store in Manhattan, KS in the same location. In 1963 our business was named Gerald's Jewelers (after the owners wife Geraldine) The first manager of the store Dave Thomas was always being called Gerald because customers assumed he was the owner of the store.When he purchased the store in the late 1980's he was required to change the name. He kept the "G" and added his last name. 20+ years later, (in 2009) the store was sold to a longtime employee (Bobbi French). Having no attachment to the "G" and not feeling the necessity to name a store after herself, she started the campaign of letting the customers and employees "Be the G". We want to be GREAT, GORGEOUS,GENEROUS, GROWING, GRATEFUL (you get the point) Hence the hash tags on our social media of #BetheG or #WhatsyourG
