I did not contract for a new home construction. I was provided an estimate to repair a crumbling deck in January of 2019 which I accepted. Spring came and no Steve. I called and left numerous messages about when to expect him to begin. Finally he called me and said he was involved in constructing a new home build. So, I waited patiently assuming he would be able to begin my work sometime in the Fall. Again, no answers to multiple voice messages until I finally realized he was never going to fix my deck. I found another contracter who responded quickly and did a wonderful job on my deck at less that quoted by Von Hotten. I suppose my little deck project was not worth his time. I just wish he had told me ahead of time. Now I am about to build a new home and I will not even consider him. Too bad, he lost a big one coming by dodging and not telling me the truth about a silly little deck repair.
