Details and experience with this company... wow where do I start. So my husband has been working with this company for 5 years now. At first, he hated it bc he was away from home so often and we had a new baby who stayed sick a lot. Over time my husband grew accustomed to being gone. He loved the no responsibility and being able to do as he pleased while out of town. I stayed quiet for a while but eventually grew tired of how it was all about the company. Whatever regardless of the family, Al Ramsey and his company came first. The personal construction/carpentry work at his private farm where he hosts private parties. He began the personal runs for the employer building food plots for hunting getting the hunts ready for the private parties thrown, moving in laws in and out homes etc. for the employer which took more time away from our family of now 6. it all became too much! My husband lost site of his family responsibilities to myself and our 4 children. I had found out about my husbands drug use along with other employees that were also using and even brought it along with evidence of being caught in the act to the employer, and his response was, “I don’t care how they pass as long as they pass”. A couple of times I caught my husband, not long after leaving work(the terminal) while being out of town with him using drugs. I also found on several occasions, the synthetic urine that him and a few other employees used to pass drug screenings at Lab Corp. Al once told my husband and I ever needed anything to come to him. Well that’s what I did on several occasions. Begging him to stop enabling my husbands drug use and to help me help him since he “loved him so much and would back him on any given day” was his exact words! Well nothing is being done and whilst some of the employees are allowed to come to work high or sneak away to get high while on the job, is very dangerous considering the petroleum terminals and one small mistake can cost not just one or two or a few lives, it more like counties or possibly state wide fatalities! But this employer doesn’t care as long as his employees are loyal to only him and as long as money is coming in his pockets! Maybe the petroleum terminals should start doing onsite oral drug testing so that there are no possible ways for the employees of this company are allowed work under the influence of drugs and alcohol while risking the lives of others.
