The Whitney Housing Authority is a low-income based housing development community, designed to help people in and around the Whitney, Texas area.
The Housing Authority of the City of Whitney rents to single persons, elderly persons, and families who have a household income below 80% of the median income of the area as published annually by the Department of Housing and Urban Development. Full rental assistance is limited to citizens of the United States. Status of certain non-citizens who may be eligible will be verified by the INS. All applicants must sign an affidavit of citizenship.
