In December 2022 this firm agreed to do my taxes. On March 27, 2023, only three weeks before taxes were due, I received an email from them stating that this is the time of year when they review whether a client is a fit for them and they had determined that I was not. I'm a friendly, low maintenance person and did not understand why they would drop me so close to the deadline. I can only assume that Dennis has one foot out the door and the firm doesn't know how to run without him. For our first Zoom meeting, he rescheduled twice and then called me from his car on the way home from a golf course in Florida. His connection dropped me five minutes in. I should have seen that as a red flag. I'm guessing he's mostly retired, they just took on more clients than they could handle and didn't think twice about abandoning ship at the most inconvenient time.
