Michael L. Wood, MD, has been practicing with Patients First Health Care in Washington, Missouri and St. Louis, Missouri since 2009. Prior to this, practiced with BJC Medical Group in North St. Louis County. He specializes in interventional cardiology with a special emphasis on peripheral vascular disease. He has extensive experience in emergency medicine as well and possesses three board certifications: internal medicine, interventional cardiology, and cardiovascular diseases. When not at Patients First, Dr. Wood can be found practicing with Missouri Baptist Medical Center, SSM St. Clare Health Center (where he serves as Director of the Cardiac Catheterization Laboratory), and St. Luke's Hospital. He is also the author of several articles pertaining to heart health and congenital heart defects, among other topics, and has published several case reports online.
