OUR mission: To practice the way of Christ. OUR VISION: To lead the people of God into a spiritually healthy life of prayer, growth, service, and multiplication. March 26, 1911, marked the first day the First Church of the Nazarene in McMinnville, Oregon, assembled in what was known then as “Mission Hall” on Third Street. With four charter members, all four being women, and their pastor being Mrs. Eva Vernon, they pressed forward in their mission to share the Gospel with McMinnville. By 1915, they moved into their first permanent location at First and Davis Streets. Since those days and a few location changes, the church now meets at its current location on top of NW Hill Road. This location gave way to a nickname of the 'Church on the Hill' which has stuck. Now having made an impact on the greater Yamhill County area for over 100 years, the church today is led by Pastor Adam Lewis. It is safe to say that children who grew up or were 'born in the church' years ago are now leaders and pastors serving and making a difference for Christ.
