F.Y.I. PTSE customers and potential customers. My wife and I had an interesting experience with Power Technology Southeast that I would like to share. We are restoring a 1994 Foretravel that came from the factory with a PT-10 onboard generator. In an effort to keep our coach factory original, we purchased a complete generator kit from PTSE. We live in Long Beach, CA found an authorized service facility and paid to have the kit shipped directly to the shop. Jimmy from PTSE arranged for this and we paid more than $2,500.00 for the part and the shipping. Our shop installed the new kit and reinstalled the generator on our motor home. Once it was all hooked up and running through a series of trouble shooting and conversations with Jeff the service manager from PTSE. Found that the kit was defective and needed to be changed out. After several frustrating phone conversations and having to speak with Gerald one of the owners of PTSE, Jeff finally agreed to ship us a new kit once we arranged and provided proof that the original kit was in transit back to them. The second kit works perfectly and my wife and I incurred an additional 30 hours of labor that we had to pay to our authorized repair facility at the tune of $65.00 per hour ( A very reasonable rate I might add). Jeff kept playing the blame game and finally after several months had a check sent to us for only the freight that we paid to ship back the original defective part.
