I called Frank regarding a leak by my water heater. He sent out a helper as he was busy doing work elsewhere. (07-18-12) His helper diagnosed the cause of the leak to be a defective expansion tank. (The expansion tank prevents ‘water hammer’. The tank was replaced and as I paid cash he did not charge any tax. The new tank resolved the leak but we now had water hammer again. After a few days Frank returned to add compressed air to the tank (using my compressor). The tank still makes noise and I am concerned about damage to the pipes. When I voiced my concern to Frank he said if he had to return and change the tank he would charge me for a new tank, I also pointed out that the tank he installed did not appear to be ‘new’ and was scratched in many spots; I asked if it was ‘new’. He assured me it was but somehow I doubt it. He is very gruff and defensive. I am now to the point where I would not allow the man back in my home under any circumstances . If he is “Above All” we are in trouble. Now I have to waste a day in ‘small claims court to rectify his unwillingness to work with me on this matter.
