Dahlonega Quick Lube used to be our regular oil change center, for under thirty dollars plus tax. They also changed light bulbs at no labor cost. It was also nice to support a local business, but they lost this customer with good reason. When I took my Jeep in recently, and asked the price, first the guy at the counter needed my phone number to look that up, which had nothing to do with the price. Then he told me it had "gone up a bit" -- TO $43.99, no less. He said their costs had increased -- well, here's a flash, I'm retired, and my income hasn't increased. That type of gouging cost them a customer. If you go there, better check the price first! And watch out for extra services they push.
