We are excited to let the community know that Storybook Cottage (West Sacramento Location) will be adding second grade for the 2014-2015 school year. It is an exciting time to be part of the Storybook Cottage family. It is the objective of Storybook Cottage to make a positive contribution to the development of your child’s full potential. We seek to provide the best learning environment in a preschool setting that facilitates healthy growth and development. Programs: Toddler Program (2-3 years) Preschool Program (3-4 years) Transitional Kindergarten (4-5 years) Kindergarten (5-6) Grades 1 and 2 (6-8 years) Before & Afterschool (5-12 years) Areas served: Carmichael, CA, Sacramento, CA, West Sacramento, CA About Storybook Cottage: Storybook Cottage was established as a pre-school, child care center in 1988 in West Sacramento. After two successful years, a second school was purchased in Sacramento. The third center was a closed preschool in Carmichael. The Carmichael school was completely rebuilt. It was finished and opened in 2001. Storybook Cottage’s first facility in West Sacramento has been demolished and replaced with a bigger and better new facility. It recently reopened in May 2008. About the Owner: Betty is co-owner of Storybook Cottage and director at the West Sacramento. location. Betty has a BA degree in child development, elementary education credential, and a Masters degree in Special Education. Betty has taught in the primary grades before entering the child care field and has had more than 20 years experience operating child care centers. Betty is active at Sierra Baptist Church and enjoys including Bible stories into the curriculum. As sisters and co-owners, Betty and Shirley Witt believe that they are very fortunate to be able to work with children, something that they enjoy and feel passionate about.
