Founded by Robert Stearns and Erwin Everett as E & S Mechanical Services in 1982, E & S enjoyed success and growth throughout the 80’s and early 90’s. E & S reincorporated in 1992 as E & S Construction Engineers, Inc. in order to offer our clients a larger range of services. In 2002, E & S made William Kingsland, Sr. and Allen Poist, Jr. our senior partners. They maintain these positions to this day and under their leadership, E & S has flourished and grown from a small, regional consulting firm to a medium-sized, national Consulting / Design-Build firm which specializes in quality, economical mechanical design, and installation for a variety of industries and clients across the United States. E & S’ key personnel have a combined 300+ years of engineering experience in a diverse variety of projects. Our staff has extensive experience in new construction, renovations, over-builds of existing structures, central plants, district heating & cooling, and more. We maintain professional engineering licenses in more than half of the United States and have the ability to be registered in all as necessary. E & S is a member of the United States Green Building Council (USGBC) and many of our staff are affiliated with industry professional organizations including ASHRAE, ASPE, and NFPA to name a few. We also maintain contractor licenses as required for numerous states. Over the last 30+ years E & S has completed projects with mechanical and plumbing construction values of over $300,000,000 of which approximately 60% was done on a design/build arrangement with the owner, developer, or general contractor.
