We purchased a home built by Karen Laverdiere while she was in college. She did it under the guidance of her borther Ronald. The house is 25 years old now. How they got around code is beyond me. Does not speak well of the inspectors in the town at the time. Our latest finds are ...the deck was about to fall off the house; we just got it fixed. We are also updating the kitchen. The new contractor found that the support beams over the kitchen sink area were compromised by holes drilled through the beams at 4 points...about 4" in diameter each. Drain pipes were fit through. He said that if we had about 3' of snow on our roof...the second floor could have colapsed onto the first! Luckily the insulation was improperly put in and that did not happen..the snow melted! Over the 21 years we have lived here we have repeatedly found problems, and gross incompetence. No, I would definetely NOT recommend this builder.
