Quoted $4,700 to replace a 40 gallon electric water heater for my 80yr old mother-in-law! What a bunch of crooks! Said the water heater was special order, but you can get the same water heater at Home Depot for $519. It would have cost at most $100 in parts, so they were essentially charging over $4,000 to replace a water heater that would have taken them 2hrs at most to replace. $2,000/hr. is robbery.
