Stringer Lumber Company has developed into one of the leading suppliers of home building materials in Henry County. It wasn't always that way. "Don't set that lumber down for long, it'll sink right down into the mud." According to founder Lyman Stringer, that was the joke when he opened his lumberyard on 1.25 acres of unpaved land in city of McDonough, Henry County, Georgia, in 1972.
