John used to provide good quality hay. However, last year, the hay was moldy and one bale had a broken glass beer bottle in the middle of it. I brought this to John's attention via text with pictures on 3/25/21, but have received no response. The middle section of at least half the bales I purchased are full of mold, cow peas, thorns, stems, and unidentifiable vegetation which had clearly been baled damp. He told me this was 2nd cutting hay, but I have never seen 2nd cutting so stemmy and coarse. My horses pick through each bale and eat only about half, which essentially costs me twice the price. I have to empty out my hay nets and bale barn and throw out the unpalatable uneaten hay. I am deeply disappointed and can no longer recommend Bledsoe Farms as a place to purchase hay.
