I went to this awful store for a pair of Easter shoes for my baby. It was hectic and busy. We had to sign a long sign in sheet. During checkout, the associate, a skinny blonde with glasses atop her head, insulted me beyond belief. After I handed her the money, she coldly returned my change to me by laying it on the counter while I stood with my hand out for my change. This brings to mind painful racist memories of the past. I was so disturbed that I returned the shoes the next day. She issued my refund and again layed my money on the counter, although my hand was extended. I will never shop at this awful store again. These people could use cultural sensitivity training and better manners. I greatly miss the corporate Stride Rite store in Northpark Mall. Guess I'll be going to the coast to the outlet corporate store. I'm still looking for Easter shoes, but at least my dignity is still intact.
