This Dr. is by far one of the rudest Doctor's I have ever met. My initial consultatioou whn was for a colonoscopy. Upon arrivial I met with his friendly nursing staff. I was placed in a room and received all the information about the surgery from an assitant. The day of the procedure I went to San Antoinio Surgical Center once again extremely pleasant experience. However, I can't tell you who performed my procedure. After the procedure was completed the Nurse NOT the Doctor advised me of my results and handed me some photo's of my colon.. My husband was waiting in the lobby for an update. He watched various Doctors come out and speak with the families. He NEVER saw the Doctor either. AWFUL experience. No follow up appointment was scheduled either. The procedure took place on May 8, 2013 on May 10, 2013 I called in spoke with the office mgr and expressed my concerns she advised me he would call me to discusse what had happen. To this date May 24,2013 I have not heard from the Doctor nor his staff. If you are looking for a professional courteous Dr than you should avoid Abdelkarim Basim MD.
