I highly recommend Charlie Wang as a watch repairer. He loves watches and it shows. He has many parts for vintage watches but he believes in repairing the original part instead replacing when possible. It is very rare that you meet someone who takes his work and reputation serious. I inherited my father’s 1958 Longines and Charlie was the one who could properly repair the watch while four other watch repairers and the factory in Switzerland could not. That includes the downtown watch repairers. He straightened the lugs, had parts to replace the lost minute hand and first tick mark, and replaced the crystal. By cleaning the old glue (which should never been used) and the green corrosion from the rim around the case, finding a crystal that fit and reshaped the bezel so that it would fasten securely, Charlie was able to solve a 10 year history of the crystal popping off. He completed the work within 24 hours and his prices are very reasonable.
After a little investigation I found out that he is not afraid to work on manual or quartz watches, complicated watches such as chronographs and twin quartz, nor the expensive watches. I also found out that he does the watch repair for several jewelry stores in the area.
