I am a bit of what they call a helicopter mom. I am from Atlanta Georgia and I’m willing to do just about anything to help my son get into a good college. When my son was a junior he needed to take the SAT and ACT so he could have the widest choice of colleges. I had heard of the Kaplan and WordSmart programs. After researching I found some negative comments about WordSmart so I chose Kaplan. I had to drive him to classes for 6 or 7 weekends and after all that my sons score only went up 23 points. Meanwhile a friend mentioned that her daughter had taken the WordSmart online course and she really liked it so I thought I would try it as well. I decided on the deluxe course where my son had a tutor assigned to him to help him on his particular weaknesses. The individual attention definitely paid off. He increased his score on the SAT 120 points and on the ACT by 3 points. We are very pleased with the results of the program.
