Our proprietary liquid-phase growth method, the ammonothermal method, applies the same concept of quartz growth in geo-thermal environment. The superior advantage of the ammonothermal method is its scalability, which is proven by the hydrothermal method - a counterpart for oxide crystals - used for the mass production of artificial quartz and zinc oxide. SixPoint's technology will provide cost competitive gallium nitride wafers for next-generation LED, LDs and transistors.
