I'm so glad a friend recommended Mr. Englund. I have a lot of antique clocks that have come down to me from my family. I had bad results from two other local clock repair people. Mr. Englund has now done a few of my clocks and I'm impressed with the results.

A number of years ago I read and kept a newspaper article about Thomas Englund and his work. We own a 1928 Sessions Mantle Clock that needed some loving care. Eventually in 2014 we were able to fund its repair and took it to Thomas. We learned that it was unique because it used one spring for both the chime and hour strike. We agreed upon the planned work, expected cost, and time frame for completion. All went well and now we have a family history clock restored and operating wonderfully.
Thomas has provided guidance to other craft persons for repairs for other types of clocks that he does not service. Additionally he is a resource for a wealth of information about our clock and offers assistance willingly. We really appreciate his breathing life back into our old time piece. Yes I recommend him to others.

Two great experiences to report: 1) My Dad had a lovely but non-functioning Regulator clock. Tom picked it up from my Dad's place in Durham, got it working, took it back, installed it and then gave Dad Clock Mainenance 101. Dad kept that clock wound and chiming on time for years. 2) Recently, I found a great old Sessions electric wall clock at an antique place in Sanford. The tattered wires were still in place. I'm guessing that the clock had probably been in a store or factory. Tom converted the clock from electric to battery. Another old clock is back in business!
PS If you visit Tom's store, be sure to take a biscuit or two for the watch dog!
