I had bottom paint applied on a boat that I purchased from a good friend of the owner Mickey by the name Bill Donnelly who runs the Gas Dock in the Gibraltar yard. Not only did Mickey and all his employees back every lie that his good friend Bill stated. He told me this boat was flawless and Mickey, Bill, and associates had re-built it together. The first major discovery was all the cheap ply-wood and cross supports hacked into the hull that according to them was top grade marine wood from somewhere in Detroit. Second they had cut multiple sections and holes out of the original stringers. The best lie was the motor that they had stated was out of low hour scrap boat which I discovered has a cracked block that has been JB-WELDED and well hidden. So is this where u would like to take your hard earned money to have your boat painted,serviced etc. These are some very shady individuals that have zero reservations about lying to your face just to get your money. The paint job by Widener was no better then I could do in my garage at inflated rates. I am putting this out there and warning anyone who thinks about doing business with this company or any of his associates or friends to find a company that is honest,genuine and a owner that's not half in the bag every day.
