Rick and Tina Paluman / Great Lakes American Diesel will take your money, make all kind of promises including a warranty that isn't worth the paper it is written on. We found them on eBay when we purchased a model B CAT engine from them in the amount of 32.932.00 , they bypassed eBay and had us wore them the money. To make a. Sry long story short. Due to their inability to complete the engine , the failure to honor their warranty caused us to almost lose our business. The engine went a total of 800 miles before breaking down because Rick did not tighten the bolts holding the fly weights in causing them to shoot through the fly wheel . He will not take responsibility for his work , he does not stand behind his work or his warranty. Buyer Beware find somewhere else to do business or at least please read the numerous reviews that are out there spanning over 20 years with similar stories.

Don't walk away from this place just run if you plan on having motor done by him or think of going to work for him.. I have worked for this man in the past and have found him to be of very very unsavory character to say the least. He buys all his motors out of a junk yard and has nothing tested such as his so said Magna Fluxe of the block? All cranks cams and every bolt are are reused from the JY motor. No motor that leaves there is dyno tyested or better yet even turned over to see if starts. He pays his people under the table and holds a week back only to short you or to not even pay you!! He does not have any employees from past or present that stay with him over a months time. Beware buyers cause everything or most everything he will sell you is off a motor from the junk yard and just Sand Blasted to look new with a fresh coat of paint to cover up the flaws.. He first started this business with a friend and ripped that man off to the point his partner came in late one night and removed all the tools in the shop to demand his monies owed to him by Rick.. Beware of this man for he will rip you off in a heart beat.

I have been there for over 5 month now. I find it a excellent place to work. a business with a 100% positive Ebay feed back. This is almost unheard of for most any well used Ebay account. This company and the hard work of the owner deserve nothing but praise in my opinion.
