grocery outlet in springfield oregon discriminates. i was told i could not wear a backpack (i bicycle because im environmentally aware). this is fine but there is no signs posted and three or four older caucasion women were walking around the store with large bags and backpacks. when i addressed this with a manager and a aggressive store clerk they didn't have anything to say. spoke to the owner (jim hoffman), brought up the same thing and he was very rude, short, dismissive and walked off saying it wasn't discriminatory. I have shopped there many many times with a backpackwith nothing being said. Why can't I have a bag but four old white women can? Jim Hoffman does not know how to communicate like a business owner or human being. I've called a 1800 number for Grocery Outlet, have posted to multiple social media platforms and will continue to do so.
